Tony Romo has been arrested.
On Friday (July 24), Fox 6 reported that the 46-year-old retired Dallas Cowboys quarterback was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated (OWI) on Thursday night (July 23) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. OWI is Wisconsin’s legal term for what is commonly referred to as driving under the influence (DUI).
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, Tony was stopped while traveling on southbound I-43 on the high-rise bridge.
He was then taken into custody after performing poorly on several field sobriety tests. the CBS Sports analyst had a mugshot taken during his booking. He was later released.
If you didn’t know, Tony grew up in Burlington, Wisc. He was in town to compete in a golf tournament, the Wisconsin Amateur Championship, which ran from July 21 through 23.
As of right now, Tony Romo has not publicly commented on his arrested. He is due in court on September 21.
