Anne Hathaway is never late, everybody else is simply early.
That's why the pregnant Princess Diaries star had the perfect response when a fan asked her about the sex of her baby on the way as she accepted her Disney Legend honor at the D23 event on Aug. 16.
"Boy or girl," the spectator shouted from the crowd as Hathaway stepped on stage, prompting her to quip, "Oh, just be patient."
Cradling her big baby bump, the 43-year-old added with a laugh in reference to her impending due date, "You're gonna find out in five minutes."
Indeed, Hathaway—who's already mom to sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6, with husband Adam Shulman—has opted not to publicly share the sex of baby No. 3. As she recently explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live, "We know, we're not saying."
"Thank you for the support," she continued after her response was met applause. "I always feel so rude saying that. I feel so bad."
But while guest host Anthony Anderson assured Hathaway that she has every right to keep the detail private, he playfully quipped, "It's a boy."
And it's a theory shared by many internet sleuths, who noted that Hathaway has been largely wearing blue this summer, including to the Los Angeles premiere of The End of Oak Street on Aug. 9.
At the time, the Devil Wears Prada actress donned an azure, belly-baring top by Prabal Gurung, which she paired with low-rise La Ligne jeans and red, pointed toe heels from Aquazzura.
"Fake hair, real bump,” Hathaway captioned an Aug. 10 Instagram video of herself getting ready for the event, seemingly addressing social media chatter that her stomach didn't look real. “Enjoy The @endofoakstreet Block Party chaos with me as my outfit literally melts in the heat!!"
