“Summer should be fun!” Summer House has made history, scoring its first Emmy nomination.
The Bravo reality series is competing in the Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program category, its first nomination in its 10-season history.
Other shows nominated in that category include America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (Netflix), Love on the Spectrum (Netflix), RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked (MTV), and Welcome to Wrexham (FX/Hulu).
Summer House’s Emmy nomination comes after a turbulent season, after two cast members confirmed they were dating after months of hiding it from viewers and the rest of their co-stars.
The confirmation that Batula and Wilson were dating shook the Bravoverse to its core, as that relationship broke some other long-standing friendships. Wilson was previously linked romantically to co-star Ciara Miller, who was Batula’s closest confidant on Summer House. Season 10 of the series showcased how outstanding a friend Miller was to Batula as she experienced marital woes with Cooke. The most recent season also revealed that Wilson flirted with Miller throughout the summer, raising her hopes for a possible reconciliation, only to hook up with her best friend months later.

Summer House is a Truly Original production, and Season 10 starred Ciara Miller, Kyle Cooke, Amanda Batula, Westling Wilson, Carl Radke, Lindsay Hubbard, Jesse Solomon, Mia Calabrese, KJ Dillard, Dara Levitan, Levi Sebree, Bailey Taylor and Ben Waddell.
After a similar scandal broke out on Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, the reality series earned Emmy nominations in 2023 for its 10th season and in 2024 for its 11th.
The last time Bravo won in this category was in 2008 for Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, after previously winning in 2007.
Netflix’s Love on the Spectrum took the Emmy in this category in 2025.
