Kristin Cavallari is getting back out to the rodeo with a new rom-com feature for Roku.
Laguna Beach star Cavallari has landed the lead role in Cowboy Hearts for the streamer. It comes after she worked with the platform on The Reunion: Laguna Beach, which was its biggest unscripted launch ever.
Cavallari, who previously dated Mark Estes, a cowboy in the Montana Boyz TikTok rodeo collective, will star as a “no-nonsense” reality TV producer who is sent to Georgia to oversee the reboot of the hit dating show Cowboy Hearts. She expects chaos behind the scenes, not romantic sparks with the cowboy himself. Now, with the cameras rolling and her job on the line, she’ll have to decide if love is worth going off script, per the logline.

Cavallari recently starred as herself in an episode of ABC’s 9-1-1: Nashville but Cowboy Hearts marks her first acting role not as herself in 15 years when she appeared in an episode of The Middle.
Cowboy Hearts comes from Fox Entertainment Studios and marks the first Fox-produced project for Roku since Fox acquired Roku for $22B earlier this year.
The movie will premiere next year. It is directed by Traci Hays and written by Paris Herbert-Taylor with exec producers including Ashley Squires, Jessica Bahowich, Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer, and Fernando Szew.

I can’t wait for everyone to see it.”
