Marvin Sapp has found a new distribution platform for the latest chapter of his storied career.
On Tuesday (July 28), Billboard can exclusively reveal that the 11-time Grammy-nominated contemporary gospel powerhouse has partnered with Roc Nation Distribution ahead of the release of Restoration, his ninth live recording and 17th album overall.

Notably, the new deal was brokered by TITLE 9 and Timless Music Group’s Stanley Brown, who wrote and produced on Sapp’s 1999 album Nothing Else Matters, which reached No. 6 on Top Gospel Albums.

I’m honored to partner with them and look forward to creating something impactful together as I step into this next chapter of my career.”
The set’s lead single, “He’s Not Finished,” will be available on Aug. 21, and fans can pre-save the single here. Sapp co-wrote the song with Stan Jones, who was recently honored at the 2026 BMI Trailblazers of Gospel Music Awards for his contributions to Mississippi Mass Choir’s Gospel Airplay-topping “Only One Way Home.”
Restoration does not currently have a set release date and is expected to arrive in fall 2026. Sapp crafted the record alongside longtime music director Curtis Lindsey and additional songwriters including Jones and Gus Lacy. Notably, the project serves as his first collection of new music following 2025’s If I Were An R&B Singer EP, which he released for Valentine’s Day as a “one-and-done project.”

“He’s Not Finished” will be just the fourth gospel/inspirational single released via Roc Nation Distribution. With Restoration marking the platform’s first full-length gospel release, this new partnership with Sapp is the latest step in bolstering Roc Nation Distribution’s presence in the gospel scene.

Marvin Sapp has sent 14 records to the top 10 of Gospel Albums, including five chart-toppers, over the course of his three-decade career. In 2008, he earned the rare late ’00s gospel crossover hit when his classic “Never Would Have Made It” reached No. 82. Both “Never Would” and “Praise Him In Advance” appear on Thirsty, which is Sapp’s longest-charting Billboard 200 album (86 weeks). Notably, he’s earned two top 10 entries on the all-genre album ranking: 2010’s Here I Am (No. 2) and 2012’s I Win (No. 9).
