The veteran producer and co-founder of the Copenhagen-based indie outfit Snowglobe, Eva Jakobsen, has joined Nordisk Film.
Jakobsen co-founded Snowglobe in 2015 and most recently worked through her own production company, Mater Pictures. Jakobsen’s credits include Joachim Trier’s The Worst Person In The World, Ralitza Petrova’s Godless, and Lust (2026). Jakobsen’s most recent credit is the Berlinale title Beginnings, directed by Jeanette Nordahl.
“We are thrilled that Eva Jakobsen has joined Nordisk Film Production, and we very much look forward to realizing her exciting slate, including new projects – helmed by acclaimed directors such as Jeanette Nordahl, Birgitte Stærmose and Pernille Fischer Christensen,” Katrine Vogelsang, CEO of Nordisk Film Production, said in a statement
“These projects reflect the distinctive, director-driven filmmaking Eva Jakobsen is known for, and are a perfect match for our ambition of bringing world-class storytelling to life.”
Jakobsen described joining Nordisk Film as a “significant step” in her career.
“After many years of working independently, I am excited to become part of a company with such a remarkable history, a strong creative and production environment, and powerful distribution capabilities,” she said. “I’m looking forward to this next chapter, contributing to Nordisk Film Production’s artistic ambitions and international vision.”
Recent Nordisk Film titles include Pål Øie’s Kraken, Paprika Steen’s To New Beginnings, and Magnus von Horn’s buzzy The Girl with the Needle.
