EXCLUSIVE: Amanda Rufener is being promoted to SVP Exhibitor Marketing & Operations at PaperAirplane.

In her expanded role, Rufener will lead the exhibition relation firm’s account team, overseeing partnerships with studios, exhibitors, and marketplace partners while driving the strategic use and growth of exhibitor media channels across the theatrical landscape.

Rufener joined PaperAirplane in April of 2021 following 11 years in Lionsgate’s Exhibitor Marketing department.

PaperAirplane also announced that longtime team member Meggie Isom who will now serve as VP of Exhibitor Marketing. Isom will continue to collaborate with the company’s studio and exhibitor partners, developing and executing marketing campaigns for films of all sizes. She is currently working on films including The Magic Far Away Tree (Vertical), The Fix (Briarcliff) and Christmas at the Kringles (Briarcliff).

Since its founding by Polydoros and Preuss in July 2020, PaperAirplane has become the industry’s central hub for the distribution of digital feature film assets, in addition to being a cinema marketing agency, working with every major studio and theater circuit across North America. In June 2025, PaperAirplane expanded The Hangar internationally, launching the platform in the United Kingdom and Latin America.
