Jackass: Best and Last, the final installment in the stunt comedy franchise from Johnny Knoxville and co., has locked in a streaming premiere date: The film launches on Paramount+ on Thursday, September 24.
Best and Last grossed over $27M worldwide in its theatrical release earlier this year. The film sees Knoxville and the gang return for one final fling at the big screen. Featuring all-new stunts and stupidity along with the greatest hits and biggest laughs from the past, it’s billed as a joyously raucous celebration of all the mischievous camaraderie that you’ve come to love and expect from these idiots over the past 25 years.
In addition to Knoxville, many familiar favorites join, including Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee Man (Jason Acuña), Dave England, Danger Ehren (Ehren McGhehey), Preston Lacy, Rachel Wolfson, Jasper, Dark Shark (Compston Wilson), Poopies (Sean McInerney) and Zach Holmes. Comedian Adam Ray is among those outside the Jackass orbit making an appearance.
Surprisingly emotional, while every bit as crass as you’d expect, Jackass: Best and Last is directed by Jeff Tremaine, who architected the franchise alongside Knoxville and Spike Jonze. Shanna Zablow Newton joined Tremaine, Jonze and Knoxville in producing the picture. Exec producers include Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, Andrew Lary and Greg Iguchi.
While the Jackass gang, as a collective, is done with its days of taping outlandish, painful stunts together, their story continues to unfold via Jackass the Podcast, a series hosted by Knoxville and Tremaine that they launched in partnership with the Headgum network in June.
