The Lost alum privately filed for divorce from her husband Brent Bushnell in Washington state in May 2025 after seven years of marriage, according to court documents obtained by People.
In the filing, Graceâwho starred as Shannon Rutherford on the supernatural series from 2004 to 2010âlisted the coupleâs date of separation as Oct. 1, 2024, and noted they had been living separately since then.
In addition to the prenuptial agreement that the pair had signed on their wedding day, Grace and Bushnell had already agreed to a property settlement and separation agreement and Bushnell signed off on the divorce petition, per docs obtained by TMZ. Neither Grace nor Bushnell sought spousal support.
As for a reason for the divorce? Grace stated in her filing that their marriage was âirretrievably broken,â according to TMZ.
While the Fear the Walking Dead actress announced in 2020 that she and Bushnell had welcomed a baby boy that year, court documents revealed the two are also parents to a daughter who was at least 12 months old as of May 2025, per People.Â
Their divorce was finalized on Aug. 13, 2025, with Grace being granted primary custody of both kids, per People. Court documents said Bushnell has custody of their son every weekend and that their daughter will follow a similar arrangement once she turns 3-and-a-half years old.
As part of the divorce, the Taken star reverted back to her maiden name Margaret Grace Ives.Â
While Grace often kept her relationship out of the spotlight, she announced her engagement to Bushnell in February 2017 with a photo on Instagram and a special Walt Whitman quote, writing in the caption, âThe strongest and sweetest songs yet remain to be sung.â
