The American Idol judge made a rare joint appearance with husband Mike Fisher to cheer on the Nashville Predators as they faced the Montreal Canadiens at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville March 28.
During the game, Carrie, 43, showed her support for Mikeâs former NHL team by donning a yellow Predators jersey bearing the number 12âthe retired hockey starâs playing numberâ as the couple posed inside the arena in a photo shared on the team's Instagram page. Meanwhile, Mike, 45, held up a miniature bobblehead figurine depicting himself and his wife twinning in matching jerseys.
While the pairâwho wed in 2010âseemed to enjoy their date night out, Carrie recently raved about life on the sprawling Tennessee farm she shares with Mike and their sons Isaiah, 11, and Jacob, 7, noting that their rural lifestyle is a welcome reprieve from her professional commitments in Los Angeles.
âI went from living on a farm to being on stage in front of a ton of people and traveling and we're in a different city every day,â she said during an appearance on the March 26 episode of SiriusXM's Front Row. âI learned very quickly that this is not real life.â
The âBlown Awayâ singer emphasized that her success in the music industry has been âso wonderful,â but stressed that âthe world that that takes you to is just not real.â
âIt's important for me that home is just way different than this,â she continued. âWe have definitely established that. My kids see me. We get up, we take them to school, we're making breakfast, packing lunches.â
And the Grammy winnerâs hands-on approach to parenting extends to the familyâs evening routine.
âWe eat dinner at least five nights a week at the dinner table, and it's something I cooked,â she shared, adding, âI don't know if it's good or not, but we ain't starving.â
