Range Studios, the production arm of Range Media Partners, has inked a two-year first-look deal with Paramount Pictures, Deadline can confirm.

Range’s focus will be producing commercially elevated theatrical releases for Paramount. Already, the companies have a handful of features in development including Bald Eagles, an R-rated high concept workplace comedy from rising scribe Brandon Cohen preempted by Paramount in a competitive deal, and Osgood Perkins’ follow-up to Longlegs with Nicolas Cage, slated for release in January 2028.

Range Studios’ Film & Production division, led by two-time Academy Award nominee Fred Berger, has produced nearly 20 movies in just the last 3 years, including James Mangold’s Academy Award-nominated A Complete Unknown, Oz Perkins’ horror breakout Longlegs and follow-up The Monkey, Jeff Nichols’ The Bikeriders, Julia Hart’s Don’t Say Good Luck, which just bowed on Netflix, and Lance Oppenheim’s A24 flick Primetime starring Robert Pattinson as To Catch a Predator‘s Chris Hansen, which is set to premiere in Venice ahead of its wide release on September 25.

Currently, Range is in post-production on Jeff Nichols’ King Snake starring Margaret Qualley and Drew Starkey, as well as Perkins’ new Neon film Young People with Nicole Kidman, and The Last Druid with Russell Crowe. They’re in pre-production on Nikhil Bhat’s Amazon MGM actioner Deadlocked starring Jamie Foxx.

Range Founding Partner Jack Whigham advised on the Paramount deal and will serve in an advisory and producing role on various projects. Range Studios’ Film & Production exec team includes Dani Sommerhauser, AJ Bourscheid, Will Iannaccone and Roxy Roffer. The division recently saw the departure of Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, who remains a producing partner of Range on projects like Longlegs 2, even as he joins Backrooms producer Oddfellows, as we first reported.
