The three-time Academy Award nominee recently reflected on the 1982 musical while speaking with Variety, sharing why the film continues to hold a special place in her heart despite its mixed reputation.

The film marked Michelle’s first starring role
The actress starred as Stephanie Zinone in the sequel, which marked her first leading role in a major studio film. At the time, Michelle was largely unknown and still trying to establish herself in Hollywood.
Following the film, Michelle went on to build a successful career, starring in popular movies like Scarface, The Witches of Eastwick, Tequila Sunrise, and Batman Returns.
Over the years, Grease 2 has developed a devoted fan base, with many viewers embracing it as a cult classic despite its rocky reception when it first hit theaters.
These days, Michelle has pivoted to a successful television career with roles in acclaimed series like The Madison and Margo’s Got Money Troubles. Both series have been renewed for additional seasons.
