EXCLUSIVE: Óscar Casas, one of the stars of Netflix’s international chart-topper Desire (Deseo), has signed with Impression Entertainment for management.
Directed by Teresa Simone, Desire is a Mexican erotic thriller centered on a married lawyer’s affair with her daughter’s swim coach.
The film hit #1 on Netflix’s Global Top 10 Non-English Movies chart, garnering 12.9M views in its first week, premiering on the streamer July 17 after opening in theaters in Mexico in May. Casas stars alongside Ludwika Paleta and José María Yazpik.
Casas most recently wrapped on A Puño Descubierto, a boxing drama written and directed by his older brother, Mario Casas, which will be released next year. Other film credits for the Spanish actor include Idols, a coming-of-age story set in the world of MotoGP, and the romantic comedy You Stole My Heart.
On the television side, Casas’ credits include the miniseries The Big Leap (El Gran Salto), the drama Caged Wings — also directed by Mario Casas — as well as the Prime Video action series Jaguar, Netflix’s action thriller Xtreme, the fantasy series Always a Witch and the psychological drama Instinto.
Founded by Jill Littman and Michael Baum, Impression Entertainment’s roster includes Édgar Ramírez, Antony Starr, Francois Arnaud, Reid Scott, María Gabriela De Faría, and more.
Casas continues to be repped by United Agents in the UK.
