The Flawless Four will walk the halls of Reagan High for another weekend as Jawbreaker The Musical announces an extension for its Los Angeles workshop.

Following overwhelming demand for the stage musical adaptation of Darren Stein’s 1999 teen cult classic, the production will continue with three more performances the weekend of Sept. 25-27 at the Hudson Theatre.

After Jawbreaker (1999) star Rebecca Gayheart graduated to the role of Principal Sherwood in the workshop production, Lori Alan (The Pee-Wee Herman Show, Spongebob Squarepants) will take over the character for the weekend.

Alan’s return to the Hudson comes after she originated the role of Mae in the cult musical Reefer Madness, which premiered at the venue in 1998.

Written and directed by Stein, Jawbreaker stars Gayheart, Rose McGowan and Julie Benz as a group of high school girls who accidentally kill their best friend in a birthday prank gone wrong and have to cover up the crime, while transforming a geek (Judy Greer) into one of their clique to keep their secret.

Directed by Matt DiCarlo (The Comedy About Spies) with choreography by Jay Jackson (RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Laganja Estranja), the musical features a book written by Stein, with original music by Jeff Thomson (Pump Up the Volume) and lyrics by Jordan Mann (Trails). It’s produced at Hudson Theatre by Knot Free Productions.
