Cardi B is responding to criticism from fans.

During an X Space conversation on Tuesday (August 11), the 33-year-old Grammy-winning rapper addressed listeners who have criticized her release scheduled and have questioned why some of her songs get more promotion than others.

Cardi said that the complaints aren’t motivating her to work harder, but rather are making her consider taking a break.

“When y’all complain, it doesn’t make me want to sit down. No, it makes me want to say, ‘I ain’t doing s–t,’” she said. “How about that? That’s the type of person I am.”

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper went on to say that she’s not interested in giving every song the exact same treatment, particularly when it comes to music videos and visuals.

“Not everything is going to have the same aesthetic as the other ones,” Cardi said, referencing her past releases. “I know I have not been in the studio. I have not been doing all that s–t right now.”

Cardi explained that when fans are “complaining and talking s–t,” her instinct is to “stay in bed” and spend time with her family, not work harder.

The new comments come just two weeks after Cardi B dropped her new single “AH HA,” which you can listen to here!
