Lizzo just released her new album BITCH, and the opening song “The Toast” is getting traction on TikTok as users respond to the song, although it’s not necessarily positive.
The 38-year-old “Juice” pop star’s latest studio album kicks off with the song “The Toast,” and listeners are sharing their thoughts about the song in viral reactions.
“I hope it makes you happy / To hurt somebody else / And when you lose it all / I hope you find yourself,” she declares.
“It’s the worst thing I’ve ever heard. And it’s not mean if she’s low key evil,” one viral reaction reads.
“now lizzo,” another reaction is simply captioned.
“Lizzo I think you might be in the wrong genre I think a musical theatre pivot or maybe anything else might be the move for you,” wrote one.
“A lot of my identity has been manipulated by people outside of me, so this album is me taking that back ? showing the Lizzo everybody knows and loves, letting her tell her side of the story and just letting her play again,” she recently explained of her latest record in an interview.
