Ah, s--t here we go again—Role Model is falling head first.
Case in point: the “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” singer appeared to prove his romance with Dakota Johnson is stronger than ever by debuting a new song, “Love I You” that seemingly features her voice.
“Hey, I think you’re perfect,” Role Model (real name Tucker Pillsbury) sang during a performance at Thalia Hall in Chicago July 30 as seen in videos shared to social media, at which point a voice similar to Johnson’s can be heard over the speakers saying, “You say that to everyone.”
To which Role Model continues, “Kay, well it it working?”
Johnson’s voice then cheekily responds, “Yeah, but don’t tell anyone.”
The banter-style bridge for the song, which fans present at the show confirmed on social media is titled “Love I You” continued to feature a back-and-forth flirtation between Role Model and Johnson.
“Ah, you seem uncertain,” Role Model sings, as Johnson quips back, “Well you’re just having fun.”
Later, Role Model claims Johnson “don’t know” him, adding, “Well, see, I’ve got money.”
“Oh you think you’re big time?” Johnson’s voice is heard goading, as Role Model responds, “Nah, just being funny.”
And Johnson—who split from Coldplay’s Chris Martin last June—answers, “Oh you’re Mr. Big Night.”
The rest of the track, which will be featured on Role Model’s upcoming album Chuck Timely & The Hourglass, out Aug. 7, details the singer falling in love with someone in a drunken stupor.
E! News has reached out reps for Johnson and Role Model regarding the track but has not yet heard back.
But if it is, indeed, Johnson featured on the new song, it proves the couple’s relationship is stronger than ever just six months after first stepping out in January. At the time, Role Model and Johnson showed off some PDA in Los Angeles during a low-key dinner at Saffy's restaurant.
Months later, the duo shared a sweet goodbye kiss outside an office complex April 3 in Los Angeles, later stepping out that same day for dinner at Little Dom's restaurant in Los Feliz.
Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time Role Model has intersected his music with his romance. The 29-year-old was previously linked to influencer Emma Chamberlain, and the duo confirmed many of his earliest songs were inspired by their relationship.
“Are any of my songs about you?” Role Model asked Chamberlain in a 2023 interview with GQ, to which the entrepreneur responds, “I mean you’ve said so—so yeah. Yes.”
And when asked to name three songs that Chamberlain inspired, the 25-year-old listed off “NeverLetYouGo,” “Blind,” and “RX.”
To which Role Model—who split from Chamberlain in late 2023—cheekily added, “Easy. Rock on.”
