Nashville-based Odyssey Entertainment Group has launched a division designed to partner with creators to develop content under a model designed to allow them to own the underlying intellectual property.

Odyssey Entertainment was formed in 2021 by Nicole Kasper and Paige Kosinski as a management and brand partnership firm to support creators and other artists working across broad verticals such as lifestyle, comedy, food, wellness, business, entertainment, fashion and home. With the launch of Odyssey Originals, the company is expanding into production.

“People over profit has always been one of our company’s main pillars, and Odyssey Originals istaking that to another level,” Kasper said. “Helping someone achieve their dream shouldn’t cost them anything. If we do our job right, they win big, and we grow right alongside them.”

Said Kosinski, “Our talent will build franchises beyond just their following and own what they make. That’s exactly what legacy over likes looks like in practice.”

Odyssey Originals will work in tandem with existing production banners King Jester, which focuses on comedy, and SickBird Productions, a female-led firm focused on podcasts, documentaries and digital series.

Odyssey and SickBird previously teamed on the podcast “You Had 2 Be There,” co-hosted by Odyssey-repped Nicole Story Dent alongside Kate Steinberg and Erin Miller.

“Building on the momentum of ‘You Had 2 Be There,’ we’re proud to expand our partnership withOdyssey, grounded in a shared belief that the best stories are built through trust, creativeambition, and a creator-first mindset,” said Jade Watson, CEO of SickBird, shared. “The future ofentertainment belongs to creators, but they deserve a model that values both creativity andownership. At SickBird, we believe creator empowerment and exceptional storytelling go hand inhand, and that combination will define the next generation of entertainment.”

Zack Slingsby and Brendan Nardozzi lead King Jester.

“Comedy has never been more culturally relevant, but great scripted comedy is difficult to find,”said Slingsby. “There are more talented comedians than ever, yet few places built to help themdevelop shows and turn ideas and stories into premium productions. That’s why we built KingJester. Partnering with Odyssey allows us to bring that philosophy to an even broader communityof creators and help develop the next generation of original shows and series.”

The initial development slate from King Jester include projects with comedians Courtney Michelle, Antonio Baldwin and Kristen Marie.

“As creators, the projects that we develop become deeply personal. They are our babies. Being able to retain 100% IP is unheard of and its proof of how much Odyssey respects and believes in the talent they work with,” Michelle said.
