The hundreds of fans gathered outside AMC Lincoln Square — along with the packed pit of photographers on the carpet — caught a glimpse of Athena incarnate Tuesday night. For the New York premiere of “The Odyssey,” Zendaya wore a sculptural winged gown paired with one of the most minimal beauty looks of the film’s press tour.
Makeup artist Ernesto Casillas largely left the actor’s eyes untouched, forgoing both mascara and visible shadow in favor of naturally fluffed brows and bare, so-called “ghost lashes.” “For the premiere, we wanted the skin to look fresh, luminous, and naturally sun-kissed,” Casillas wrote in an Instagram post. “The makeup was intentionally minimal, with glowing skin at the heart of the look and soft warmth placed where the sun would naturally hit.”
Casillas prepped Zendaya’s skin with Prada Beauty products (including the Augmented Skin Cream and Augmented Skin Eye Cream) before mixing the brand’s Augmented Skin Essence into the Reveal Skin Optimizing Foundation for a lightweight finish. He then combined Prada’s cream-to-powder blushes in Caffè, a mocha brown, and Cherry, a true red, applying the shades to the areas where the sun would naturally hit. For the lips, he applied a Prada Balm in Astral Pink.
The restrained glam provided a counterpoint to her considerably more theatrical fashion. Law Roach styled Zendaya in an ivory Matières Fécales gown from the Paris-based label’s Fall 2025 collection. The design featured a sculpted, asymmetrical bodice, a thigh-high slit, distressed feather-like detailing and a pair of floor-length wings extending from the back. Roach reportedly asked the label to reserve the runway look for Zendaya more than two years ago.
She completed the ensemble with sculptural Christian Louboutin heels and more than 30 carats of Chopard diamonds, including floral earrings.
