Kelly Osbourne is reflecting on a recent awards show appearance that sparked plenty of commentary online.
The 41-year-old TV personality and singer spoke out in a new interview, revealing that she wore a wig to the 2026 Grammy Awards to conceal her gaunt appearance.
“I looked like the f–g Crypt Keeper,” she told The Mail on Sunday.
“I said, ‘This is scary. I didn’t know I looked like this.’ My spine – you could see every single bone.”
Kelly went on to say that she was overwhelmed with grief following the passing of her father Ozzy Osbourne last July, and couldn’t recognize the changes in her body.
“I couldn’t see what other people saw because I was in so much pain. I just saw a broken person,” she admitted.

“I wore a wig to cover my face, so you couldn’t see how skinny my cheekbones really were,” she said of her 2026 Grammys look, going on to explain that her stylists knew she was “going through something.”
“We were trying to find clothes to not make me look skinnier. I was scared. I wanted to be there to support my mum and to pay tribute to my father’s legacy. But in all honesty, when I reflect on it, I don’t think I should have gone. I wasn’t very well,” Kelly went on to say.
Kelly also said her grief left her feeling nauseous whenever she tried to eat and that she no longer registered feelings of hunger.
She also addressed her 3-year-old son Sidney, whom she shares with ex Sid Wilson.
“Whenever he walked in the room, something would come over me and I’d snap into Miss Fun Mum. I didn’t cry in front of him; I’d walk out of the room. I always made sure that he was not exposed to inappropriate sorrow,” she explained.
Kelly Osbourne Is Planning a TV Series About Grief
Kelly also revealed that she is planning a three-part TV series about grief and mental health, in which she intends to tell more of her story.
“There’s a lot that people don’t know,” she explained.
“The person I was before my dad died is dead. That person doesn’t exist anymore,” Kelly added. For the full story, head to Mail on Sunday.
