Olivia Rodrigo‘s got a studio album coming out at midnight on Friday (June 12), and everyone’s already buzzing about the new music.
you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love features a bunch of new songs in addition to previously released singles “drop dead” and “the cure,” including “u + me = ?3.”
Fans are currently pouring through the lyrics on each track, and speculating about what she’s singing about on the new songs.
“I think that you’re killer with your floppy hair,” she begins on the track, with some fans thinking she’s alluding to ex-boyfriend Louis Partridge‘s hairstyle.
“I like your big sister, sh? has your same face,” she later sings. Louis has an older sister, Issie Partridge, and fans have pointed out how similar the two look.
“If you buy me silver jewelry and all my favorite Cadbury,” she also sings, referencing the iconic British confectionary company, which some fans believe is also a reference to Louis, who is British.
“But I got a feelin’ wounds are healin’, talkin’ on the phone / I know everybody changes, but I hope that we don’t / Carve our names into the car seat leather / You plus me equals a heart forever,” she sings on the chorus.
She seemingly teased the track title back in October 2025. It was reported back by December that they broke up after dating for over two years.
