Jen Hamilton and husband Brian are going their separate ways.
The 35-year-old TikTok influencer and author confirmed the news in a statement to social media on Monday (June 15).
The confirmation came after an initial video of Jen crying, causing viewers to worry and speculate about what caused her distress. She removed it from TikTok, although you can still see it on her X.
“Day 1: absolutely devastated. Please don’t try to reach out to anybody on my behalf. That would make everything so much worse for me. Please just let me grieve. My heart is absolutely shattered. ‘He broke my heart but I still love him with all the pieces,'” she wrote.
After the distressing video, she shared a video called “The statement.”
“Okay. No crying, feeling embarrassed and feeling exposed and feeling sad, feeling every single thing you probably possibly feel,” she began.
“My publicists to say that I should make a statement when I’m ready. There is no. There is no being ready. But there’s already bunch of articles about it, so I might as well just rip the band-aid off…I wanted it to be something that we came up with together. And I called him and that’s what we did,” she continued.
“So I’m going to show you what we wrote together. And then I’m gonna add some things in my own for all the inquiring minds. Here’s the statement,” Jen said, showing the statement.
“This next part is for me. I am very embarrassed that I put a video of myself crying on the internet. And I never should have done it. It was a moment of like searing pain. And I just wanted somebody to tell me that I was gonna be alright. There is no part of me that thinks that I am famous enough to end up in People Magazine or the New York Post for something going on in my life. And that was dumb of me. I was very dumb because that is exactly what happened.”
“And now in the midst of like the real time pain that I feel, I’m having to like deal with that part of it all, couple things I want you to know for me. I’mma be alright. People live through this all the time,” she explained.

“if I could just have two requests. Number one would be to stop speculating. Cause ain’t none of y’all got it right, okay? And also, only me and him know what happened,” she said.
“My next request is that you just be nice, okay? He is my bestest friend still. There’s no meanness, there’s no yelling, there’s no animosity between the two of us. I want him to win. I want him to be the very, very best version of himself. One that he’s never even seen before. And I feel like sometimes we can hold each other back from truly healing from the stuff we need to heal from.” Watch above.

Yes, we are separating. This comes with enormous pain for the both of us but also gratitude for the 15 years of shared history, love, and friendship. What we are committed to is loving each other well through this transition and placing the wellbeing of the family we created at the center. We are hoping our paths diverging in physical location will make space and room for mental healing for the other. We still are committed to being a team. We even wrote this together (and without chatgpt). We both want to be very clear. This wasn’t about falling out of love. That’s why this is so devastating. It was about recognizing that sometimes the most loving thing you can do is give someone space to figure out complex things. And that’s exactly what we are doing.
