Manchester City star Erling Haaland has debuted a massive change to his appearance: he chopped off his iconic long blonde hair.
The 26-year-old World Cup star, who played for Norway, shared the update on his official social media accounts.
Erling Haaland has been sporting longer hair since 2021
A little backstory: Haaland decided to grow out his hair back in 2021, during his time with Borussia Dortmund.
Fellow soccer star Zlatan Ibrahimovic actually gave him advice to never cut his hair.
“Zlatan, you know what he told me? ‘Never cut your hair because the strength is in the hair.’ What can I do? I have to listen to him, no?” he once said during an episode of “After Hours with James Corden.”
Zlatan confirmed he said this, adding: “I truly believed that when I was playing. When things were going well, I had my ponytail.”
Erling Haaland documented his new haircut for his fans
Erling shared a series of Instagram photos on his official account, writing, “Short hair don’t care.”
He also filmed it for a vlog on YouTube.
