Ariana Madix is heading back to television, but this time, to star in a scripted series!
The 41-year-old Emmy-nominated Love Island USA host is set to star in the upcoming sci-fi series Future Housewives, which is currently in development at Peacock, according to THR.
What is Future Housewives about?
The upcoming series reportedly blends science fiction and the reality TV world. Here’s the synopsis:
“In the decadent asteroid colony of New Beverly Hills, wealthy socialites juggle bioengineered beauty regimens, ruthless rivalries and interplanetary scandals. But when a young, starry-eyed outsider (Madix) unexpectedly upends their glamorous world, it exposes just how far they’ve drifted out of touch in a society evolving beyond superficiality in this sharply satirical yet surprisingly heartfelt reinvention of reality TV.”
In addition to starring, Ariana is also slated to executive produce alongside Seth MacFarlane and the show’s creator, Brannon Braga, who worked with Seth on The Orville.
While Ariana is best known for starring on the reality show Vanderpump Rules, she has recently had a recurring role on NBC comedy St. Denis Medical.
She’s currently back on Broadway starring in Just In Time alongside Jeremy Jordan and Carrie St Louis. Matthew Morrison will return to the show as Bobby Darin for three weeks in October and November. Ariana‘s last show in Just In Time is currently set for November 22nd.
Is Ariana Madix still hosting Love Island USA?
Yes! Ariana will continue to host Love Island USA, as Peacock recently announced the show’s renewal for season nine with her also returning.
Ariana is also set to return as host for Love Island Games season three, which is set for fall 2027.
