Kate Upton and Justin Verlander’s latest family outing is a home run.

Indeed, the former Sports Illustrated model and two-time World Series champ took their daughter Genevieve, 7, and son Bellamy, 12 months, to the MLB All-Star Game festivities in Philadelphia on July 14. 

For the occasion, Upton wore a corseted white minidress and metallic strappy sandals, twinning with her daughter who donned a white coordinating set with metallic Mary Jane flats. Meanwhile, Verlander sported a light blue suit while carrying their son who had on a white shirt with brown suspenders and pants.

Although the family typically keeps a low profile, this rare outing was particularly meaningful, as it was the Detroit Tigers pitcher’s final All-Star Game. While the 43-year-old didn’t throw, he was selected as a “Legend Pick” for the American League as a result of his illustrious career, which includes two World Series wins and three CY Young awards. 

For over a decade, Upton, 34, has been Verlander's No. 1 fan, having met her future husband while filming a commercial in 2012. The couple married in November 2017, two days after he won the World Series that year.

And now they are gearing up to enter a new chapter of their lives, as Verlander officially announced his retirement on July 8. 

“Over the last several months, l've realized that time has come,” he shared on Instagram. “While I'm fully committed to giving my team everything I have for the rest of this season, I've decided this will be my last. It's fitting that I get to finish where it all started - with the Detroit Tigers, the organization that drafted me and gave me my first opportunity.”

The MLB pro thanked Upton for cheering him on, adding, “To my family, especially my wife Kate, thank you for standing beside me through every season, every rehab, and every high and low. I couldn't have done this without you. It's time for the next chapter.”
