Brooks Laich and Katrin Tanja Davíðsdóttir are married!
The 43-year-old former NHL professional ice hockey player and the 33-year-old former CrossFit athlete and previous “Fittest Woman on Earth” title holder tied the knot on Saturday (August 15) in front of 110 guests at home in Idaho.
The couple enjoyed a welcome party, wedding day and ’50s-themed beach brunch, according to People.
“It was a dream come true for both of us,” he explained to the outlet.
The couple got engaged back in December of 2024, and made their romance Instagram official back in 2021.
“It’s been really fun and really special. From the start, we knew we wanted to get married here, just welcome everybody here,” she added of their home wedding.
“I was like, ‘We just want to be on an adventure. Whatever happens happens. And if it doesn’t go according to perfect plan, that’s okay.’ It was even funny when I was like, ‘If I slip down the aisle, please laugh.’ He goes, ‘Oh, I’ll slide down toward you.’”
The two share 10-month-old daughter Emberly, whom Brooks sweetly carried down the aisle.
“I’m going to take my sweet time with it and just show her to everybody and have her just touch everybody in the aisle,” he told the outlet, joking: “Whatever plans we have, she’ll make herself involved.”
“She’s a firecracker. She does not go unnoticed in this world,” Katrin added. Their pet husky Koda also walked down the aisle in a mini tuxedo.
She also had a special dance with her 85-year-old grandpa.
“My grandparents are my favorite people in the world. They are just my rocks. They’re my biggest supporters. They’re my role models for what I wanted in a husband and a marriage, and they’re great,” she added.
Brooks Laich was married to Julianne Hough from 2017 until the finalization of their divorce in 2022. Julianne had the sweetest reaction to the news of Brooks welcoming a baby last year.
