EXCLUSIVE: When FX‘s American Horror Story Season 13 premieres on September 24, it will be without Ariana Grande. Due to conflicts with timing changes to the production dates of the horror series and with her Eternal Sunshine Tour, Grande was unable to make her AHS debut a reality, sources tell Deadline. The pop star was unable to shoot any scenes for the new season.

FX and 20th Television declined to comment for this story.

At the end of June, Grande rescheduled select July concerts. Her July 12 stop at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center was rescheduled to July 14, and she shifted her July 22 and July 24 shows in Boston to July 23 and July 26. Grande’s tour continues with upcoming stops in New York, Canada, Chicago and London.

Yesterday, Deadline revealed AHS13’s premiere date and how the show will be promoted at San Diego Comic-Con next week. The cast of the series was also spotted shooting exterior scenes for the show, with fans noticing that Grande was noticeably missing. Two previously unannounced stars were spotted, however: Frances Conroy and Alex Consani.

Details regarding what the 13th installment will focus on are under wraps. The previously announced cast includes Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, John Waters, and Leslie Grossman. Additionally, John Carroll Lynch, Mena Suvari, and Matt Fraser are said to be returning as characters they’ve played in other AHS installments. Paul Anthony Kelly, Berto Colón, and Joey Pollari will make their franchise debut in Season 13.

Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Ned Martel, Charlie Carver, Eric Kovtun, Nissa Diederich, Scott Robertson, Tanase Popa, Crystle Roberson Dorsey, Jennifer Salt, and Tim Minear serve as executive producers. The series is produced by 20th Television.
