Chris Colfer is opening up about whether he would return to the Glee revival Ryan Murphy recently teased.

The actor who played Kurt Hummel throughout the show’s six-season run was asked about the revival but said he didn’t know anything about it yet.

“I know nothing and have heard absolutely nothing,” Colfer said in an interview with Bustle. “I wish I did. It was a really tough show to do, and it would be really hard to do it now that Naya [Rivera] is gone. But I do know that Glee fans would probably come after me with pitchforks and jazz hands if I said no.”

Glee has lost several co-stars over the years, including Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, and Naya Rivera. Murphy recently revealed that he had “just finished” a script for a reboot and noted that the cast was “very enthusiastic” about the potential revival.

“Well, funny you ask, cause I just finished the script an hour ago,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “So, we have a script. Brad [Falchuk], Ian [Brennan] and I, who wrote all the first two seasons, have written something. I’ve been in touch with around 10 of the original cast members. It’s very sweet, and they all had a lot of questions, but they all were very enthusiastic about the idea.”

Murphy added, “Nobody’s read it, so I don’t know, we’ll see. I vowed to myself that I wanted to write a couple of them to see what people think, particularly the cast, cause we were very close when we were making it.”

The Glee reboot doesn’t have a series order and is only an idea the creative team is developing for now.
