Hoda Kotb is opening up about her love life.
The 62-year-old journalist and on-air personality revealed the news while on TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle on Friday (August 21).
During the appearance, Jenna Bush Hager inquired about Hoda‘s love life, to which Hoda began to share a story.
“This is not a real love connection,” she warned.
“I did meet someone on a plane when I was flying somewhere,” she continued.
“It was the weirdest connection in the world. We were both crying. It was strange. You know, when you have one of those (conversations where) everything is firing on all cylinders?” she went on to say, adding that the two hit it off immediately.
“He kept saying, ‘Is this a dream? Is this real?’” she recalled. After the two went their separate ways, their connection continued.
“Our company went to Cannes so we could talk about our company, and he was in the audience, randomly,’” Hoda revealed, referring to her company Joy 101.
“He goes, “‘Hi,’ and I said, ‘Hi.’ But then, it all kind of just went away,” Hoda said, before revealing it wasn’t “actually the end” of the story.
“So, we have texted recently,” Hoda admitted.
“Look. There are connections…I don’t know what it is,” she went on, confirming he’s “really cute” and “very handsome” and single.
