It's time to celebrate everyday romance with the new Old Navy x Altuzarra collection. E! exclusively spoke with Joseph Altuzarra, founder and creative director of Altuzarra, and Zac Posen, chief creative officer of Old Navy, ahead of today's highly-anticipated collaboration release, which includes all of the pieces you need for your most stylish fall yet.
"Joseph brought his A-game and really worked with bringing and fuzing our two brands together. This whole collection is the beginning of a story," Zac shared with us. "It's the story of kind of bringing these incredible pieces into your wardrobe, layering them up into your existing wardrobe or building one from within."
The collection (which stars Alexa Chung in campaign imagery) features several distinctive color stories: deep earth tones, pink/cream/burgundy, along with muted blues and black. Plus, there's a special selection of styles for girls that match beautifully!
Joseph told us that he envisions Elizabeth Bennet, the protagonist of Pride and Prejudice, as the charcter that best defines the collection. "[She is] sort of intellectual, romantic, idealistic, very complex. I could picture her sort of wearing this collection."

Joseph told us when balancing the identities of Altuzarra and Old Navy that "it was really important to sort of bring the essence of Altuzarra, and I think also really take what Old Navy stands for, the sort of joy and optimism and, creativity, for the whole family that Old Navy stands for and really merge those two things together to create this collaboration."

"I am a lover of books, and books are often the starting point for me of a collection. And I think, when I was putting out sort of inspiration images on the floor of my office, those were the ones that I was really gravitating toward," Joseph shared. "I had just read Wuthering Heights, had just reread Pride and Prejudice, and I think there is a sense of yearning and desire that I felt was really exciting to explore."

He added, "And I love the jeans. They're a killer jean with this patch pocket on the front. And I can see so many of our customers wearing it."
