EXCLUSIVE: Adam Mockler, the Gen-Z political commentator who flustered CNN contributor Scott Jennings in a moment that went wildly viral, is getting further into the political debate arena.
The series will feature āhonest conversation between people who disagreeā. Mockler will pair guests with different political viewpoints for one-on-one, unscripted debates designed to challenge ideas, test assumptions and look for common ground.
Each episode will be filmed in Chicago and feature two debate prompts: Mockler picking one topic from a conservative perspective, while the guest selects one from a liberal perspective, ensuring both participants have the opportunity to defend and challenge ideas on equal footing.
The weekly series, which is produced by his own Mockler Media, will launch on the Google-owned platform later today. It feature Brady Cupples, co-chair of the McLean County Young Republicans in Illinois.
Mockler had a moment earlier this year on CNN on NewsNight with Abby Phillip when conservative commentator Jennings lost his cool, shouting at the youngster to āget your f*cking hand out of my faceā during a debate on the Iran war.
He was previously part of the MeidasTouch network and has appeared on other political shows including PBSāsĀ Firing Line with Margaret Hoover and Piers Morgan Uncensored.
āWeāre trying to prove something simple,ā said Mockler. āPeople who disagree politically can still sit across from each other, listen, push back and have a real conversation. Thatās what this show is about.ā
