Anne Hathaway is owning a wardrobe mishap with a royal stride.

Indeed, after the Princess Diaries star—who recently announced she is expecting her third baby with husband Adam Shulman—stepped out in New York City June 30 wearing a long-sleeve red peplum jumpsuit that showed off her baby bump, fans noticed that she seemingly wore the outfit backwards.

Hathaway—who paired the look with matching red heels, a gold choker and black cat-eye sunglasses—ultimately set the record straight about the look and hilariously fessed up to the fashion flub in a July 1 Instagram video.

After showing screenshots of multiple articles pointing out the potential error, the Odyssey actress asked, "I did?" before revealing her realization, "I did... I did."

Hathaway—who donned a similar cherry red ensemble in the clip—captioned the post with a face with an open mouth, grinning and melting face emojis.

And according to the Mother Mary star's stylist Erin Walsh, the jumpsuit comes from Ashlyn New York's Spring/Summer 2026 collection, with photos from the runway proving that Hathaway, in fact, wore the look backward when she positioned the scoop neckline in the front.

And as Hathaway—who shares Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6, with Shulman—moves forward in showing off her maternity style, she's grateful for her motherhood journey so far.

"I just feel very lucky," Hathaway told People in April. "I know that not everybody who wants to be a parent gets to be. I’m just blown away by how fortunate I am. It went really well for me twice, and that’s really lucky."

As she expressed, "Being a mom is just this beautiful ongoing poem that I get to live inside of."

In fact, being a mom to two boys has even impacted the Oscar winner's closet.

"I’m a tomboy! I love that being a boy mom has really informed my fashion," Hathaway explained. "I have to always be able to go from a serious business meeting to, like, a basketball court. You have to be able to play pickup basketball at any point, in any outfit. So [I tell myself]: When you get dressed in the morning, dress wisely because you 100 percent are going to have a projectile thrown at you probably by the end of breakfast."

Anne Hathaway shared the special and exciting news that she and her hubby are having another baby! "It's not for a movie...⁣⁣#2," she wrote on Instagram, showing off her bump. "All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love."

"They get down on the child's level and speak to them eye-to-eye to make their child feel empowered," she told The Sunday Times. "I thought that was really cool. I started doing that with Jonathan."

"I hadn't planned on ever confirming it and then I just, I had seen a photographer while I was on vacation, taking a photo, and I just thought, 'It's such a joyful and a sacred experience, you know, carrying life,'" Hathaway explained to E! News. "And I just thought, 'I don't want the first version of this to be out there with me covering or scowling at someone.'"

She told E! News that getting sleep has been challenging. "Honestly, I haven't slept in eight weeks. I have no idea what I'm saying," the actress jokingly stated. "This is probably going to go down as not the most normal interview on E! News."

"I'm going to stop drinking while my son is in my house just because I don't totally love the way I do it," Hathaway admitted to Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show. "He's getting to an age where he really does need me all the time in the mornings. I did one school run one day where I dropped him off at school, I wasn't driving, but I was hungover, and that was enough for me. I didn't love that one."

"The kind of mother I'll be depends on the kind of children I have," the Ocean's 8 actress shared with Vogue about the ultimate role she has as a mother.

"I can't believe we don't already have it," she shared with Elle magazine, further explaining that "We're encouraged to judge each other, but we should be turning our focus to the people and institutions who should be supporting us and currently aren't."

"I'm not perfect, but if I'm frustrated or distracted, I'm good at making sure he's safe and walking away, calming down and then coming back to him," she explained to The Sunday Times. She said "telling that harsh voice to be quiet" is one hard about motherhood. "I fall short every day, but I'm not going to beat myself up about it, I'm going to learn from it."

"I'm sorry. I am a new mother and I didn't time the feeding schedule—well, like I have any control over it," Hathaway said on Good Morning America with a laugh as she does press for the Alice Through the Looking Glass. "My kid was hungry, I had to feed him, I missed the first 20 minutes so I can't tell you about the beginning of the movie."

"When [my son] Johnny was a week old and I was holding him and I was in the ninth level of ecstasy, I just all of a sudden thought, 'Mommy guilt is invented nonsense,'" she told Elle magazine.
