Harris Dickinson (John Lennon), Barry Keoghan (Ringo Starr), Paul Mescal (Paul McCartney), and Joseph Quinn (George Harrison) are back in action as The Beatles!

The upcoming movies, titled The Beatles — A Four-Film Cinematic Event, will see the four stars taking on the iconic musicians. Sam Mendes is directing the upcoming movies, which will all be released in theaters in April 2028.

The photo was taken today (August 16) in London, England.

The Beatles’ famous Abbey Road photograph was taken on August 8, 1969, outside EMI Studios in London. Photographer Iain Macmillan captured the group walking across the nearby zebra crossing while police briefly held up traffic. The entire photo session lasted only a few minutes, but the image became one of the most recognizable album covers in music history. The photograph was used for Abbey Road, which was released later that year.

Saoirse Ronan, Anna Sawai, Aimee Lou Wood, and Mia McKenna-Bruce are confirmed to play the female lead roles in Oscar winner Sam Mendes‘ upcoming cinematic event. Saoirse will be playing Linda Eastman, Anna will play Yoko Ono, Aimee is playing Pattie Boyd, and Mia will play Maureen Cox.
