Kylie Jenner and Stassie Karanikolaou made sure fans were keeping up with their fake feud.

Amid speculation the longtime besties had a falling out after Karanikolaou didn’t attend Jenner’s birthday party, the duo set the record straight, revealing that not only is there not a feud between them, but also that they fueled the rumors just for fun.

“In the beginning when I kept seeing this narrative, I remember you were texting me things like, ‘Everyone thinks we hate each other, LOL,’” Jenner told Karanikolaou on the Aug. 26 episode of her and Victoria Villarroel’s Better Half podcast. “I was lie, ‘Who actually cares?’”

“But now it’s been like two months, and it’s becoming a thing,” she continued, “I’m like, ‘OK, now it needs to be addressed.'”

Jenner, 29, and Karanikolaou, also 29, detailed how it all went down, sharing they had continued to send each other videos about their alleged feud. After finding the rumors to be “so funny,” they decided to continue making it appear that there was drama between them.

“I told Stas, I said, ‘We have to keep this feud up,’” Jenner recalled. “I happened to be doing the podcast anyway, so I’m like, ‘We have to keep the feud up. Let’s drag it.’”

But their ruse—which even included creating a fake trailer for the podcast conversation—hit a minor snag when they both attended mutual friend Jordyn Woods’ wedding to Karl-Anthony Towns on Aug. 15.

“When we just went to Jordyn's wedding, Stas kept getting too close,” Jenner jokingly recalled. “I was like, ‘Stop talking to me. We're supposed to be beefing right now!'”

Then, Villarroel shared a photo of all three of the ladies together, admitting that she “didn’t think it through.” Kylie recalled telling her friend, “Delete this right now ‘cause Stas and I hate each other.”

After Villarroel highlighted how “crazy” a fake “narrative” can explode online, Jenner and Karanikolaou broke down the origins of the speculation: Karanikolaou’s absence at Jenner’s 29th birthday.

As for why she was on a yacht in Ibiza instead of at her BFF's birthday?

“I was supposed to come back on the 8th,” Karanikolaou shared, “you decide to have your party on the 6th because you were going out of town.”

The influencer emphasized that since she and Jenner “have been friends for so long” they “obviously” had previously discussed that Karanikolaou wasn’t going to be there.

Jenner—mom to kids Stormi Webster, 8, and Aire Webster, 4, with ex Travis Scott— agreed, adding, “I think that’s just what adulting is these days. Unfortunately guys, we have schedules.”

The Kylie Cosmetics founder summed up the topic by telling the camera, “There’s nothing to say ‘cause nothing's going on.”

And ultimately, navigating speculation such as this isn’t anything new for Jenner.

“I’m so used to people creating their own narrative that I actually have to just laugh about it,” she explained. “I really don't care because I just assume people will figure it out eventually.”
