Disney+‘s international strategy of teaming with local streamers just reached Indonesia.

The global streamer and Indonesian market leader Vidio have joined forces to launch a subscription bundle, marking a first such collab in Indonesia for Disney.

Audiences will be offered the ‘Vidio Ultimate Disney+ All Screen Bundle’, which comprises access to Vidio Ultimate All Screen and Disney+’s standard tier.

This means Disney’s global shows like Only Murders in the Building, blockbusters such as the Star Wars and Marvel movies, and local Asia Pacific originals will be grouped in with Vidio’s local rights to the English Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the BRI Super League, along with live TV and original series.

Disney+ has struck a range of content share agreements and bundle deals outside of the U.S., as part of a strategy to work with local players to expand its own reach.

Tony Zameczkowski, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Direct-to-Consumer, Asia Pacific, The Walt Disney Company, said: “By bringing Disney+’s beloved films and award-winning series together with Vidio’s local entertainment ecosystem, we’re elevating the streaming experience for fans and new audiences.”

According to Media Partners Asia (MPA), Vidio has been Indonesia’s top streamer for the past four years.

Sutanto Hartono, CEO of Vidio, said: “Through our collaboration with Disney+, we’re bringing together two complementary entertainment experiences into one of Indonesia’s most complete premium entertainment offerings.

“As entertainment consumption continues to evolve, audiences are looking for greater choice and better value from their subscriptions. Alongside the bundle, the ‘Taste of Disney+’ collection will bring select Disney stories directly to audiences on Vidio, complementing our Indonesian originals and sports offering.”
