Dua Lipa’s wedding day had her levitating. The pop star and Callum Turner tied the knot during a dreamy ceremony in Palermo, Italy, in June, and Dua reflected on the “magical” day while gracing the September cover of Vogue Italia on Monday (Aug. 24).

“The wedding day was magical,” she gushed. “We received so much advice, but we decided to follow just two pieces of it: to experience the day as if we were guests ourselves and to constantly seek each other out in the crowd, never losing sight of one another. That way, we really have so many memories together.”

After a small civil ceremony in London in May, Dua and Turner danced the night away with a beautiful wedding on the coast of Sicily. The Grammy-winning star stunned in a custom Chanel haute couture dress designed by Matthieu Blazy, which reportedly took more than 1,000 hours to perfect.

The Palermo wedding had plenty of special guests, including a performance from her “Cold Heart” collaborator, Elton John. The newlyweds — who met in early 2024 — embarked on an Italian honeymoon that continued their travels through Sicily, Rome and the Amalfi Coast.

As the ultimate vacation queen, Dua Lipa’s Instagram photo dumps are anticipated by fans living vicariously through her, and she’s felt some anxiety if she goes a few days without new content.

“I’m very clear about what to share on social media and what to keep to myself. When I don’t post anything for a few days, I sometimes get a bit of ‘posting anxiety,'” she told the publication. “So, I just pick the photos I like best and post them without overthinking it. I hit publish, close the app and forget about it.”

The 31-year-old also opened up about how her “perfectionist” days are behind her, as Dua took on the daring challenge of singing in the local language of wherever she was performing on the Radical Optimism Tour, giving each show a surprise and a uniqueness.

“I never would have done it; I was too much of a perfectionist. But that’s a side of me I left behind in my 20s,” she said. “Now that I’m 31, I care about different things — or rather, things that are more human and real. Over time, I’ve learned to forgive myself, to be more forgiving in general. I love the unpredictability of life, and I have to admit, I’m having a lot more fun.”

On the music front, all eyes are now on Dua Lipa’s upcoming fourth studio album. She’s been repeatedly spotted making daily trips to the famed Electric Lady Studios when she’s been in NYC this summer.

“When I was younger, I found much more inspiration from the search and desire for love. Heartbreak is a very strong and loud emotion,” she added of creating from a place of love. “But now I want to discover what happens when you actually find love. I’m interested in the complexities of a relationship, its quieter aspects, the small things.”

Dua Lipa’s last album, Radical Optimism, arrived in May 2024 and earned the singer a No. 2 debut on the Billboard 200.
