Vanessa Hudgens and Alexandra Shipp had a Tick, Tick… Boom! reunion!
The former co-stars were photographed together at the opening night of the 22nd annual HollyShorts Film Festival on Thursday (August 13) at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
Both actresses received honors at the short film fest, with the opening night award ceremony taking place on Thursday. Vanessa was feted with the Luminary Award and also attended to promote her latest film America.

“It’s a real honor to receive the Luminary Award from HollyShorts,” she said, per Deadline. “I’ve always believed in supporting filmmakers and championing original storytelling, and it’s exciting to celebrate the incredible creativity and passion that short films bring to our industry.”

The High School Musical alum wore L’Agence‘s Akiya Satin Maxi Dress in vintage white and black. She accessorized with Cult Gaia‘s Hera Nano Rhinestone Shoulder Bag.
Alexandra made her writing-directing debut with For Niko, which screened during the opening night and she received the Trailblazer Award at the 2026 HollyShorts Film Festival.

Alexandra and Vanessa both starred in the 2021 biographical musical drama film Tick, Tick… Boom!, which received multiple Academy Award nominations.
