Harrison Ford is coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
It was just announced on Saturday night (August 15) at D23 that the 84-year-old actor will be the actual model of the Indiana Jones audio-animatronics figure for the first time ever.
The big news was unveiled during the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at the expo, bringing Harrison‘s Indiana Jones to the upcoming new attraction at the Walt Disney World Resort.

The attraction will be located in the Tropical Americas land that is currently under construction at Animal Kingdom, which is replacing DinoLand USA.
The name of the ride was announced as Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, and it will showcase the Maya culture and its connection to nature.

What is the new ride’s storyline?
“You’ll rendezvous with Dr. Jones, who is in the midst of exploring this mysterious temple near a once water-filled underground cave, called a cenote. Local legend says the passageway leads directly to the Maya Underworld, and is protected by a serpentine creature: the Tsukán,” according to Disney Parks Blog.
“The adventure takes off when riders are unwittingly sucked through a portal to the Underworld, where they’ll have to escape perilous dangers, like monstrous bats, larger-than-life scorpions, fire and flame, and of course, snakes.”
