Taylor Frankie Paul Says She’s “Stayed In, Single & Celibate” Since Her Season of ‘The Bachelorette’ Was Yanked

Taylor Frankie Paul revealed on social media Saturday that she’s “stayed in, single and celibate” since ABC decided to table her run as The Bachelorette.

Paul, who can currently be seen in the fifth season of Hulu’s The Secret Lives of Morman Wives that dropped Sept. 10, also said she will not allow anyone “intimate access to me again unless he’s my person and that’s a promise to myself.”

“We got to see me breaking … shortly after I was sought to be destroyed and instead it ricocheted,” continued Paul. “Maybe my prayers are heard after all. Such a long way to go but baby steps.”

Paul also shared photos of a “magazine cover I never got a chance to share but was one of the most fun shows.” She also teased that maybe it was time to “release the tapes” and joked about a “bachelorette round two.”

Paul revealed in the new season of Morman Wives that she chose participant Doug Mason at the end of The Bachelorette, which was pulled three days before its March 22 premiere after a 2023 video surfaced of her throwing a stool at her ex Dakota Mortensen.

“And yes, he did get down on one knee and proposed, which I was shocked,” Paul said of Mason, who has since released a statement that says, in part, “I’m just sending out prayers to Taylor because that was her moment and her moment was blocked. All we can do right now is be hopeful.”

In May, Disney’s reality TV chief Rob Mills told Deadline that the network is taking it “day-to-day” on whether or not to release Paul’s season. “It’s a good question,” he added. “On a personal level … we want to make sure she’s OK.”

Mills previously told Deadline in April that “The Bachelor franchise is one that is obviously is very important to us and that’s going through its own growing pains right now. Those are our crown jewels to continue to polish.”
