The Wall Street Journal published an article titled “Dave Portnoy Has One Rule for Success: Hire Great People and ‘Let Them Run Wild,’” and one detail within is grabbing attention.
If you aren’t aware, Dave Portnoy runs Barstool Sports, and Alex Cooper used to host “Call Her Daddy” at the company.
If you don’t know, when “Call Her Daddy” started, it was co-hosted by Alex and Sofia Franklyn. They were under Barstool Sports with the podcast from 2018 until 2020. Sofia departed, and Alex hosted solo for another year with Barstool before leaving for Spotify.
However, Dave Portnoy is alleging that they wanted to get out of their Barstool contract, and he made a big claim
He alleges they were plotting to say they were sexually harassed at Barstool in order to get out of the contract.
“Cooper, he claims, told him she and Franklyn had a plan to say they were sexually harassed at Barstool to get out of their contract,” the report claims.
Neither Alex Cooper nor Sofia Franklyn have responded to these claims at this time
