Anderson Cooper has apparently privately told some of his co-workers at CNN that he does not want to work for one person in particular.

If you don’t know, the 59-year-old news anchor currently works at CNN, and recently left his post at CBS’ 60 Minutes.

The person in question is Bari Weiss

Apparently, Anderson has shared he does not want to work with Bari Weiss if Paramount Skydance’s rumored acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery does indeed happen. Bari Weiss is editorial chief over at CBS. The New York Times reported this news in a new story, but his rep declined to make a comment.

What might happen at CNN…

“One option under consideration by Mr. Ellison would be to pair Ms. Weiss with a more experienced TV executive who could handle the technical and financial aspects of the network,” the Times reported.

Currently, Mark Thompson is CNN’s Chief Executive, and he said he was not willing to share duties.

Why Anderson Cooper left 60 Minutes

Previously Anderson Cooper released a statement explaining his decision to leave 60 Minutes.

Anderson told the AP in February, “Being a correspondent at ‘60 Minutes’ has been one of the great honors of my career. I got to tell amazing stories, and work with some of the best producers, editors and camera crew in the business. For nearly 20 years, I’ve been able to balance my jobs and CNN and CBS, but I have little kids now and I want to spend as much time with them as possible, while they still want to spend time with me.”
