Presley Gerber shockingly passed away at the age of 27 on September 20. His final public appearance was just months earlier at an event celebrating his younger sister Kaia Gerber.
Back in May 2026, Presley joined his full family to support Kaia at the launch party for her collection with Re/Done.
At the time, it was one of Presley‘s first times in public after opening up about his mental health in December 2025.
Presley and Kaia‘s parents Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber were also at the event to support the launch of her campaign film Short/Cuts.
In addition to having a collection and campaign with the brand, Kaia joined Re/Done as an investor, creative partner, and member of the advisory board.
Presley was all smiles at the event, wearing a red plaid button-down shirt over a black tee and jeans.
Presley had public issues with alcohol in the past after getting a DUI. Most recently, he opened up about medication he’d been prescribed and his mental health.
What Presley Gerber said in December 2025
“Here’s some clarity for ya – the truth will set you free (hopefully) haha,” he captioned the post.
“I’ve had a lot of loss in many different forms recently. That is not an excuse, but it’s the reason—or part of—why I am where I’m at now,” he admitted, saying that he’s been taking medicine like valium, which calms the central nervous system, and buprenorphine, used to treat pain and opioid use disorders, as well as Xanax “when the panic attacks are really, really bad.”
“Every psychiatrist I’ve had—and I’ve had, like, 15—they’re all like, ‘Here’s 20 medications. Take this if you feel like this, take this as needed.’ And I’m like, ‘No, don’t give me that much leeway. I need some direction,’” he added, sharing frustration about how to manage his medicine.
He also said he’s mostly stopped with alcohol lately, as alcohol was “no longer serving” him, and he also spoke to his circle, and trying to make sure he’s surrounded by “good influences.”
“I’ve grown up in Hollywood, and there’s a lot of people around that I love to death, but right now, I try not to be around them,” he admitted.
“I’m hoping this reaches people in many ways so you feel like you’re not alone, because that is how I feel most of the time. I have a feeling if I say all of this, a lot of people will at least know that there’s someone else going through it,” Presley shared.
