EXCLUSIVE: Chris Thomas Devlin, a rising screenwriter in the horror/thriller space, has inked with WME for representation.
Recently, Devlin landed arguably his biggest gig to date as screenwriter for the upcoming reimagining of horror classic The Blair Witch Project. Dylan Clark, an up-and-comer out of the YouTube space, is directing the film for Lionsgate and Blumhouse-Atomic Monster, with production slated for fall.
No stranger to major horror IP, Devlin previously penned a 2022 reboot of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for Netflix. He also wrote the 2023 Lionsgate horror film Cobweb, which was produced by Vertigo and Point Grey, and starred Lizzy Caplan and Antony Starr.
Devlin has multiple additional projects in active development, including his original feature Doomtown, a high-concept survival horror flick which, as we reported in December, marks the first project in development under Divide/Conquer’s recently inked first-look deal with Blumhouse-Atomic Monster.
Devlin continues to be represented by Bellevue Productions and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.
