Shakira will make her return to Egypt after nearly 20 years for a concert at the Great Pyramids of Giza in November, organized by Venture Lifestyle.

Colombian superstar Shakira will perform a concert at the Great Pyramids of Giza on November 28 in a show organized by Venture Lifestyle. The event marks Shakira’s first visit to the country since her 2007 appearance at the UNESCO World Heritage Site—nearly 20 years ago.

It’s the latest in a series of international music events produced by the entertainment company, which includes shows by John Legend, Katy Perry, Jennifer Lopez, and Demi Lovato in the Middle East.

“I’m very happy to be performing in Egypt at the Pyramids of Giza,” Shakira said in a statement. “I love you all!”

For Shakira, the timing capitalizes on her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour, which kicked off in Rio de Janeiro in 2025 and is scheduled to conclude this October in Madrid.

The tour has broken numerous ticket sales and venue records and earned over $421.6 million by January, breaking the Guinness World Record for the highest-grossing Latin tour of all time and the fifth-highest by a female artist.

Earlier this year, Shakira also performed a free concert at the Zócalo in Mexico City and was the headliner for Todo Mundo no Rio at Copacabana Beach. She’s also been in the midst of a run of U.S. shows and recently released the track “Dai Dai,” which features on the FIFA World Cup official track list.

Shakira has become one of the world’s most successful and influential artists, with more than 95 million records sold worldwide, multiple Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards, and a catalog of hits spanning more than three decades.

The Great Pyramids of Giza are the only surviving wonder of the ancient world, and as a result, have increasingly become the setting for internationally significant live events.

Venture Lifestyle has been hard at work focusing on delivering large-scale cultural experiences across Egypt and the wider MENA region. The entertainment and hospitality company has been leading the charge in this arena since 2018, bringing not just concerts but influential Formula 1 events and many immersive showcases to the region.
