Miley Cyrus has a new music home!
The 33-year-old Grammy Award-winning artist has just signed a new record deal with Atlantic Records, marking the fourth label of her career.
“Welcome to the family @mileycyrus,” the label shared on Instagram, along with a white heart emoji.
Atlantic is spearheaded by CEO Elliot Grainge, and features a stacked lineup of stars, including Ed Sheeran, Charlie Puth, Charli xcx, Sia, Bruno Mars, Rosé, PinkPantheress, Lizzo, Kehlani, Alex Warren, Cardi B, and Coldplay. Fellow Disney alum Hilary Duff also released her latest album, luck… or something, through Atlantic!
Before signing with Atlantic, Miley released her first three albums through Disney’s Hollywood Records. She then moved to RCA and released four more albums, including Bangerz and Plastic Hearts. Miley‘s last two albums, Endless Summer Vacation and Something Beautiful, were released through Columbia.
During an album listening event last year, Miley teased her “next album is about to be extremely experimental, so have fun with that,” via THR.
In her upcoming guest-edited issue of Wonderland, Miley opened up about making records and the mystery of songwriting.
She also talked to Daryl Hannah about her future prospects in returning to acting or directing.
“Well… That’s partly why I wanted to get in touch. I’d genuinely love to do both,” Miley said. “My dream has always been to work with artists I admire, and you’re one of them. I think we’d make magic together, Daryl. I have an idea. Call me.’”
