Beyoncé is teaming up with Jay-Z again.
The married couple unite on a new remix of her recent release “Morning Dew (Donk),” featured on an upcoming 20th anniversary edition of her album B’Day.
On Wednesday (August 5), Bey dropped a remix package for the track.
The new remix featuring Jay-Z includes samples of Soulja Boy’s “Donk,” the Isley Brothers’ “Between the Sheets,” and interpolations of Sheck Wes’ “Mo Bamba,” per Pitchfork.
“We know what that night did / Let’s see what that mornin’ do / Top of the top, sloppy as a mornin’ dew / My watches vintage, I don’t need nothin’ new / Comin’ through, Malibu in a old-school / Foldin’ is archival, a liar, but we know the truth / With these hoes on mute / Let me put you up on game / Bitch so bad, I had to give her my last name,” Jay declares.
The original song was co-written with Pharrell, The-Dream, and Darius Dixson. The remix package includes an acoustic version of the song as well, called “4:44.”
The longtime couple first collaborated on “’03 Bonnie & Clyde” back in 2002, and have popped up on each other’s songs over the decades. They released their first joint album Everything Is Love under the name The Carters in 2018.
B’Day was originally released on September 4, 2006.
