K-Pop star Ivy is heading to Broadway!
The South Korean singer and actress will be making her Broadway debut as she joins the cast of Chicago later this summer.
Ivy will take on the role of Roxie Hart in the production, reprising a character she’s quite familiar with.
The singer and actress has previously played Roxie in South Korean productions of the long-running musical, even picking up a 2012 Korean Musical Award for Best New Actress. She has also performed the part several other times since then, most recently just last year.
Other musicals Ivy has starred in include Wicked, Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Aida, Jekyll & Hyde, Dracula, Rent and Kiss Me Kate.
Ivy will take over as Roxie on Broadway beginning August 17th for a limited three-week run through September 6th. She takes over after Krysta Rodriguez, who will take on Roxie starting June 15th.

After her run in Chicago on Broadway, Ivy will next be seen at the LG Arts Center Theatre in Seoul, South Korea, starting Saturday, December 5th.
