EXCLUSIVE: Cole Mueller’s cold case crime thriller Bulldogs has unveiled first images as filming gets underway in L.A. with Josh Henderson leading the cast and serving as executive producer alongside co-star Sade Katarina.

Henderson, who is best known for his starring role as John Ross Ewing III in TNT’s revival of Dallas, plays a gifted LASD detective who allows his filmmaker ex-wife (Katarina) to document the reopening of a notorious cold case.

As cameras capture the investigation in real time, buried secrets begin to surface, transforming the documentary itself into part of a dangerous mystery where every perspective is suspect and the truth remains elusive.

Henderson and Katarina are joined in the cast by Damon Dayoub (Stitchers) and Crispian Belfrage (Obi-Wan Kenobi).

It is a third feature for Mueller who also took writing and directing credits on the crime show Limited Edition.

“From the beginning, I was interested in exploring how our perception of the truth changes depending on who’s telling the story,” said Mueller.

“By blending traditional narrative filmmaking with a documentary approach, we were able to place the audience inside the investigation rather than simply observing it. As the film unfolds, the camera becomes more than a witness; it becomes part of the mystery itself.”

Mueller is producing with Katarina taking an executive producer under her Effloresce Entertainment banner, alongside Henderson.
