Music festival Me Gusta is now called Sublime Fest, after hip-hop stars Cypress Hill dropped out, with rumors citing political differences.

Me Gusta Fest has been rebranded to Sublime Fest after hip-hop headliners Cypress Hill backed out, according to festival producers Brew Ha Ha Productions. The festival will still take place on the same dates and at the same places as previously announced, and will still feature Sublime, as well as The Interrupters, Long Beach Dub Allstars, and more.

While no official announcement has been made as to the why, Redditors cite backlash to Sublime’s apparent MAGA affiliations leading to Cypress Hill withdrawing. To wit, Sublime played at a Trump golf course in Florida last year during a LIV Golf event.

Brew Ha Ha Productions did not respond to media requests for comment. However, commenters on Reddit said that the promoter told ticketholders that there “will be no refunds issued under any circumstances.”

Redditors suggested that the event formerly known as Me Gusta was going to be cancelled altogether since Cypress Hill backed out, and the festival’s social media pages went temporarily dark. However, they are back online under the new name.

Notably, most festival dates are still available under “tier 1” pricing, indicating that the event hasn’t sold as well as they had expected. Aside from Sublime, other artists slated to play vary across the different dates and locations, but include Slightly Stoopid, Iration, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Codefendants, HR of Bad Brains, DizzyIsDead, Pennywise, and The Ataris.

Sublime Fest takes place in Fort Worth, TX, at the Panther Island Pavilion on May 9; Portland, OR, at the Waterfront Park on June 27; and Salt Lake City, UT, at Zions Bank Stadium on July 18.

Bradley Nowell, Sublime’s original frontman, died at 28 of a heroin overdose in 1996, just two months before the band’s self-titled album was released. His son, Jakob Nowell, born in 1995, recently took up the mantle and plays with the band.
