EXCLUSIVE: Hulu’s Only Murders In the Building is making the most of its trip to London, booking top local talent for the upcoming sixth season. The latest batch of big names to join as recurring for the new installment include two Doctor Whos, two Harry Potter stars and a Bridgerton standout.

Joining Season 6 are David Tennant, Nicola Coughlan, Jodie Whittaker, Jim Broadbent, Richard Ayoade, Adrian Lukis and Kathryn Hunter.

They join recently announced recurring cast Jennifer Saunders, Sean Teale, Simone Ashley, Amar Chadha-Patel, Rhea Norwood, Matthew Beard, Sharon Horgan, Martin Freeman, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Jamie Demetriou, Anjana Vasan, Jane Horrocks, Derek Jacobi and Lesley Nicol.

Production on the new season is currently underway in the UK. This marks the first time the comedy mystery series has ventured outside of the U.S., as the crime-solving trio of Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) leaves New York City to investigate London’s newest mystery.

Only Murders in the Building hails from co-creators and writers Martin and John Hoffman and 20th Television. Season 6 executive producers include John Hoffman, Martin, Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, Jennifer Crittenden & Gabrielle Allan.

Best known for his portrayal of the Tenth Doctor and the Fourteenth Doctor on Doctor Who, Tennant can currently be seen starring as Tony Baddingham in the Disney+ series Rivals. He recently made a key cameo in the Season 2 finale of The Four Seasons and was seen in Amblin and Netflix’s movie The Thursday Murder Club. Tennant is repped by Sarah Camlett at Independent Talent Group.

Coughlan has appeared on every season of Netflix’s hit period drama Bridgerton, taking center stage in Season 3 as the love interest to Luke Newton’s Colin Bridgerton. She recently appeared in The Magic Faraway Tree, hosted Saturday Night Live UK and next headlines Season 4 of the Channel 4 anthology series, I Am. Coughlan is repped by Curtis Brown Group, CAA and GGSSC.

Whittaker made history as the first woman to portray the iconic Time Lord in Doctor Who, taking over the role from Peter Capaldi in 2017 and leading the show across three seasons and several specials. She most recently appeared in Netflix’s Office Romance, alongside Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein, and portrayed Sam in ITV’s Frauds. She’s repped by Independent Talent Group and Cognition.

Broadbent, who played Horace Slughorn in the Harry Potter franchise, earned a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for the 2001 Iris. He most recently was seen in the films Jay Kelly and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy. In TV, Broadbent won an Emmy for his performance in The Street. He’s repped by Independent Talent Group and CAA.

Ayoade was recently seen on film in Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme and The Wonderful World of Henry Sugar. His television work includes his BAFTA-winning role of Maurice Moss in The IT Crowd. Upcoming Ayoade will be among the voice cast in Sonic the Hedgehog 4. He’s repped by Marina Campbell-Gray at PBJ Management.

Lukis can most recently be seen in the films How To Make A Killing, opposite Glen Powell and Margaret Qualley and Heads of State with Idris Elba and John Cena. Additional film credits include The Boys in the Boat and Joy. He’s repped by Independent Talent Group.

Olivier winner Hunter played Arabella Figg in Harry Potter: Order of the Phoenix. Her recent film work includes Ladies First, Poor Things, Megalopolis, The Front Room and Vicious. Her TV credits include Netflix’s Black Doves, Disney+’s Andor, FX’s Grotesquerie, HBO’s Landscapers and Silent Witness. She’s repped by Hamilton Hodell and Ruari Stainfield-Bruce.
